Andrada & Alberto are the current New Zealand Professional Subchampions in Salsa & Bachata at the New Zealand Salsa Open Competition in Nov 2017.

In Nov 2016 they were crowned the New Zealand Amateur Champions in Salsa & Bachata.

Andrada Neagu was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1988 and was welcomed to the beautiful shores of New Zealand at the age of 12. Having spent the last 16 years of her life in Aotearoa she calls herself a Kiwi with the utmost pride.

She graduated from Westlake Girls High School at the age of 18 and she began studying a conjoint Bachelor of Law and Arts when she was offered an opportunity to work for the prestigious Sovereign Insurance.

She became committed to helping kiwis protect their livelihoods and being there for them in their time of need . She has continued to work diligently over the next ten years building on her experience and knowledge of the industry to become a respected member of the organisation.

Andrada’s love of dancing began at the age of 6 when her mother signed her up for Latin Dance Sport (Ballroom) in Romania and she began to compete in Samba, ChaChaCha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive and Rock’n’Roll.

Throughout her life Andrada has gravitated towards the Arts and sought to grow as an artist by studying with the Performing Arts School of New Zealand for 6 years and landing several roles in television series such as Shortland Street to movies like Hercules, Treasure Island and performing in multiple stage shows.

Her love of dancing was shared equally by Andrada’s elder brother George Constantinescu whom she admires deeply having been NZ Ceroc Champion 4 years consecutively. He took her under his wing and helped her grow and explore the world of Ceroc and built her confidence by competing together.
